Sara Matters of Training Matters LLC delivers private professional dog training on a schedule that works for you either remotely or at her facility in Brattleboro. She also offers classes at her facility.
Sara focuses on both dog and household, creating a plan that accounts for what each family member can realistically contribute to teaching the essential behaviors you want as efficiently as possible. She also advises on proper confinement techniques and equipment to set you and your dog up for success. Additionally, she coaches people on the skills they need move through life with their dog.
Her goal: helping dogs and families learn what they need to live well together.
The following are Sara’s most popular services:
Basic dog training:
Six or three-session packages to teach basic behaviors and management strategies where puppy training has not occurred, has been insufficient or needs refreshing. Six sessions, $600. Three sessions, $350.
Puppy training:
Six-session packages teaching basic behaviors, management strategies, and how to address typical puppy issues such as housebreaking or adolescent issues such as jumping up, mouthing, attention, failing to come when called and pulling on leash. $600.

Problem behavior consultations:
One-hour online consultations to review the behavior issue, recommend strategies to help immediately, and develop a plan of action. $125.
Problem behavior analysis and treatment:
Training to address problem behaviors such as separation difficulties, reactivity problems, walking issues, fear or aggression-based problems. $300 for consultation and training plans; three and six-session package prices apply for training thereafter.
Adolescent dogs:
Three-session packages to address typical adolescent issues of jumping up, mouthing, pulling on leash, and failing to come when called. $350.
Preparing for the new dog/puppy:
Get life with your new pet off to a good start by preparing in advance. Set up a session to review what to have in place when the dog arrives and how to proceed afterwards. $125.

Because of coronavirus, Training Matters offers services remotely at reduced cost. Six sessions, $500. Three sessions, $275. One-hour, single-session consultations, $125. These rates can be applied to all services. Please contact Sara to determine what is the right structure for your needs.
